This page describes how Happy Nanny handles your personal data when you contact us, book a meeting or use us for childcare. We never process more data than we need, and we never sell data on.
Data controller
Happy Nanny Sweden AB, Swedish company registration number 559451-6949, with its registered office in Järfälla, is the data controller for the processing of your data.

What data we collect
When you fill in our contact form we collect your name, phone number, email address and the message you write.
When you book a meeting we collect your name, email address, phone number and the time you have chosen.
When you become a client we also process the data needed for the childcare to work and be safe: the address where the care takes place, the child’s first name and age, details of allergies, medication or other needs the nanny must know about, contact details for you and for a backup contact, and billing details.
Information about a child’s health, such as allergies or medication, is sensitive personal data. We only collect such data when you give it to us yourself so that we can look after your child safely, we only share it with the nanny who works in your home, and we delete it when the placement ends.
Why we process the data
- To answer your enquiry and book a meeting. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to those who contact us.
- To provide the childcare. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- For the child’s safety where health data is concerned. Legal basis: your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- For invoicing and accounting. Legal basis: a legal obligation under the Swedish Accounting Act.
How long we keep the data
Enquiries that do not lead to a placement are deleted once we have dealt with them. Client data is kept for as long as you are a client with us and for a short time afterwards. Data about the child’s health and needs is deleted when the placement ends. Records relating to invoicing and accounting are kept for seven years, because the Swedish Accounting Act requires it.
Who we share the data with
We only share data when necessary, and only with the following recipients:
- The nanny who works in your home. The nanny receives the data needed for the placement and nothing more, and is bound by confidentiality.
- Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and the data you send via the forms. The provider processes the data as a processor on our behalf.
- Our email provider, to the extent that correspondence with you goes by email.
- Our accountants and Skatteverket, the Swedish Tax Agency, for invoicing, accounting and the RUT tax deduction.
We do not transfer your data to countries outside the EU and EEA, except where one of the providers above does so under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Cookies and visitor statistics
Happynanny.se uses cookies in three categories. Necessary cookies are required for the site and the booking form to work and are always set. Statistics cookies from Google Analytics are only used if you have accepted them and help us see which pages are read. Marketing cookies are only used if you have accepted them and let us measure whether ads on Google and Meta lead to bookings.
Your choice is saved in a cookie called hn_consent for 180 days. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer. Until you have made a choice, statistics and marketing are switched off. We use Google Tag Manager to control which tools load, and the tools respect your choice through Google consent mode.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- know what data we hold about you and receive a copy of it,
- have incorrect data corrected,
- have your data deleted, where we are not required by law to keep it,
- object to or request restriction of our processing,
- withdraw consent you have given, without affecting processing carried out before then,
- receive your data in a machine-readable format and move it to someone else.

If you are not satisfied
If you think we are handling your data incorrectly, you can come to us first and we will try to resolve it. You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, IMY, which is the supervisory authority in Sweden. Contact details are at imy.se.
Changes to this policy
